This Thursday, November 30th, is Alpine Night at Churchill’s Pub and Grille. We will have FOUR Alpine beers on draft. That’s correct…. 62 gallons of fabulous Alpine beer. You will have your choice of the sought after Mandarin Nectar, Willy Wheat, McIlhenney’s Irish Red, and one of the reasons San Diego is known as IPA Town….Pure Hoppiness. I have a couple of cases of glassware, so we will also make it a keep the glass night!! It will be $5 dollars for an Alpine Beer and you can keep the glass!!
New in bottles!!! We have Avery’s Beast..this monster is pushing 15% alcohol content and is a VERY sweet example of a dark Belgian style. I received a sole case of Victory’s Hop Wallop Ale. Who knew people in Pennsylvania knew what hops were? This is a great hoppy IPA. I’m getting in Gouden Carolus Cuvee of the Emperor(that’s for you Harold!) I’m still waiting for my shipment of rare Belgian, English and Scottish beer. I’ll update as I get these in. We have a new Trappist Ale in. It is the Achel Extra Trappist Ale. The Achel is a very nice and smooth dark Belgian Ale. I also believe I took about 10% of the California allocation of the St. Bernardus abt 12 60th Anniverary bottles, so I’m selling some more of it. The rest will be cellared for future years!! There is also rumor I might be getting a couple of cases of the Firestone-Walker 10th anniversary ale!! Keep your fingers crossed!!
Thanks to Jim Crute and the rest of the Lightning Brewery Crew for the great cask night. It was a resounding success and the porter was amazing!!.
