Vote for Churchill’s as Best North County Bar!!

Churchill’s has been nominated for best North County Bar by Sign On San Diego’s Best of Readers poll!! For some reason we weren’t nominated under pubs as well, but I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth. VOTE FOR US A LOT!! I recommend voting for O’Briens for best pub(since we weren’t nominated) and neighborhood bar, and Liar’s Club for best beach and dive bar. Both these bars are great beer spots and if you haven’t checked them out I highly recommend doing so. They have been essential in supporting the local beer scene for many years…..

I also want to personally(in a blind copy email..hehe) thank all of you for making Churchill’s Pub and Grille what it is today. When I took over day to day operations 2 years ago, it was not looking pretty, and frankly, I was just trying to stabilize the business to make it more saleable. Every single one of you has been an integral part of our success. A lot of what I have done has been due to customer feedback(and my unbridled lust for good beer!! 😉  ).

Alpine Mandarin Nectar has come and gone…. But more Alpine goodness will be here soon……  We have Hop Rod Rye on from Bear Republic which is an IPA brewed with Rye(go figure!) Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale is back on. On the last legs of Avant Garde from Lost Abbey and Green Flash’s Belgian Tripel. Sam Adams Oktoberfest(recent gold medal winner at GABF).  Young’s Double Chocolate Stout.

On Deck….Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA, Old Speckled Hen, Maredsous 8 (Belgian Dubbel), Alesmith Evil Dead Red, Left Coast Hopjuice, and a couple of more…

Port Brewing’s Palapa Pale Ale is going on cask today…on deck right now is Stone IPA w/ Simcoe hops.

Remember, October 20 is Green Flash/Reaper Ale night. We will have the Reaper Sleighor Double IPA and Ritual Dark Ale on draft and a high gravity West Coast IPA on cask….
