Hops and Heat! June 7th!

First and foremost we hope that you and your families are safe and have returned home following the tragic fires that ravaged the area. Also we would like to thank all the firefighters and police officers who risked their lives to ensure our safety. You guys are true heroes and we all salute you!

Here at the pub we are getting ready for summer and in doing so will be hosting our inaugural summer beer festival. Drum roll please!!

Hops and Heat on Saturday June 7th from 11am to close!

We will feature 30-35 of the best IPA’s in the world. In addition to our amazing IPA draft line up our Culinary Prestidigitator AG Warfield will be putting together the spiciest food menu ever known on earth! To honor the heroic effort of our local firefighters we will be donating a portion of our sales from that day to the local
fire department, so the more you drink and eat the more money the fire department makes! Let’s be honest… we can put on this event because the pub is still standing because of these people!

You’ll need all that beer to quench the flames in your mouth after you sample the menu from Gastrointestinal Arsonist Warfield. We strongly recommended that you wear protective glasses while reading the following menu:

5 Pepper Chili – Dawn of the Dead

House chili made with a blend of hot chili peppers and topped with smoked ghost pepper cheese

Triple Stuffed Popper – Walking dead

Anaheim chili stuffed with diced jalapeño, habañero, serrano peppers, and pepper jack cheese. Then beer battered, fried and topped with chipotle mole.

Smoking Hummus & Jalapeño (vegan) – Walking Dead

Smoked pepper & Sriracha hummus served with spicy pickled carrots and jalapeño

Fire Ball Sliders – Evil Dead

Spicy lamb and beef meatballs on jalapeño cheddar slider buns topped with melted ghost pepper cheese and spicy marinara.

Sandwiches

Spitfire Pulled Pork – Dawn of the Dead

Shredded smoked pork mixed with chipotle BBQ sauce on a jalapeño cheddar bun topped with beer battered jalapeños.

Inferno Burger –Walking Dead

½ ground chuck burger topped with pepper jack cheese, roasted jalapeño, smoked chili pepper relish, crispy fire onions, and Sriracha ranch.

Spicy Kimchee Bahn Me (vegan) – Walking Dead

Sweet chili and Sriracha tofu on a toasted Poolish roll topped with spicy house made kimchee and micro cilantro. Served with fried purple taro chips drizzled with habañero maple syrup.

Sizzling Fried Shark – Evil Dead

Mako shark filet rubbed in Caribbean green seasoning then breaded and fried. Served on a ciabatta bun and topped with scotch bonnet slaw, red onion, heirloom tomato, and pepper sauce.

Entrees

Lava Mussels – Dawn of the Dead

A pound of steamed mussels in spicy pepper broth topped with Shishito peppers and served with a fire oil crostini

Blazing Pork Roulade –Walking Dead

Pork loin stuffed with various chilies, arugula, and horseradish cheddar then rubbed with chili paste and roasted. Served over a Flamin’ Hot Cheetos polenta cake and topped with spicy pork au jus.

Thai Peanut Udon(vegan)- Evil Dead

Fresh Udon noodles tossed with Sambal Oelek peanut sauce and sautéed green Shishito peppers, Gai Lan, lotus root, red Kuri squash, and Thai basil. Garnished with Korean red pepper spiced peanuts.

Scorching Steak Frites – Evil Dead

12oz New York dusted with volcano spice and grilled to perfection. Served over jalapeño fries and topped with a habañero carrot puree.

Desserts

Stone Chipotle Smoked Porter Milkshake-Dawn of the Dead

House made Stone chipotle smoked porter chocolate ice cream shake topped with chipotle dusted chocolate covered bacon bits.

Habañero Mango Fruit Tarts-Dawn of the Dead

Vanilla custard in mini tart shells topped with fresh strawberries, kiwi, and blackberries then glazed with habañero mango preserves.

Cayenne Crème Brulee with Spicy Pepper Relish-Dawn of the Dead

Vanilla crème brulee topped with caramelized cayenne sugar and served with Aji Amarillo pepper, strawberry, and mint relish.

We will have a limited supply of Hops and Heat pint glasses and tee-shirts for sale as well. So come on by for Hops and Heat on June 7th at 11am. Have an IPA and some spicy food and help support your local firefighters at the same time!
